Horticultural Glass- Green House Glass
Whether you need a horticultural glass replacement due to breakage, weather damage or wear and tear, we will be there to provide you with a brand-new horticultural glass at a low price, for collection from our factory in Derry or delivered across Northern Ireland.
Our greenhouse replacement glass also known as horticultural glass is 3mm in thickness and it is the perfect choice of glazing for a greenhouse; in regards to its performance and affordability. Horticultural greenhouse glass conducts heat and allows the ultraviolet rays through to your greenhouse. In this way glass helps to heat up the greenhouse during the summer months to almost tropical conditions. Greenhouse glass is intentionally marked or distorted by the manufacturers and will not be of an equivocal quality as float glass.
Whether you are a gardener, market gardener or farmer we can supply horticultural greenhouse glass, cut to size and available in standard thicknesses.

Green House Glass Options: Traditional, Safety/Toughen & Polycarbonate Options
Traditional Green House Glass
Horticultural glass is the lowest grade of glass used for greenhouses and the most economical. Consequently, it can sometimes contain marks and blemishes, but this doesn’t affect its performance as greenhouse glazing. Although cheaper than other methods horticultural glass has very sharp edges and can break in to dangerous shapes. Definitely not recommended if there are children or less abled people around.
Toughened Safety Glass
Much stronger than horticultural glass and tends to be 3mm (or 4mm for premium greenhouses). Best fitted as long pane sheets for a neater finish, Toughened greenhouse glass will granulate if broken (rather than break into large sharp shards) thereby removing the risk of injury.
Transparent plastic that is used for shatterproof windows. This durable, strong material wins out over glass in the greenhouse safety. The big negative to using polycarbonate is that it flexes in strong winds and if installed in exposed positions can blow out.
